HAPPY DECEMBER, friends!
Reading the book of 1 Samuel last month gave me so much spiritual gems. I walked away from many challenges with solutions and peace. The way David appeared ordinary and rather small in comparison to the giant Goliath stood out to me. You know why? David may have been ordinary and even small in the eyes of people from his community. And from a worldly perspective as well. But, you know what was bigger than the giant he was facing? HIS FAITH. The fact that He boldly said he would face Goliath after everyone else was scared and unsuccessful. He didn’t boast he would face him from his own strength either…. He declared God would help him defeat the giant before him. That type of faith is what God rewards. It challenged me to ask myself what giants I was facing in my own life. It inspired me to face the scary and unknown head on– because God is always bigger. If I go in my own strength and ego, surely, I’d fail. The key is going in God’s name and truly believing He WILL cover you.
Phew! There were so many other gems I could speak on. But, for now, I’m excited to share December’s 24-Day reading plan continuing into 2 Samuel. Even if you missed the first few days, or find yourself needing to catch up, grace is for you. You can follow this plan for any 24 days even if it doesn’t happen to be this December.

Study Questions for 2 Samuel:
Importance of the book of 2 Samuel:
Have you ever wondered how God can use someone who’s trying their best but still dealing with real-life mistakes, emotions, family drama, and unexpected setbacks?
That’s exactly why 2 Samuel is so powerful for us today. This book follows the life of David—not as a perfect hero, but as a relatable, flawed person who loved God, messed up, repented, and kept growing. In his story, we see modern-day lessons about leadership, heartbreak, choices, consequences, healing, and how God’s grace meets us in the middle of our mess. Studying 2 Samuel in December will give you wisdom for decision-making, encouragement for your faith walk, and a deeper understanding of how God restores and strengthens those who lean on Him. It’s not just ancient history—it’s a blueprint for navigating real life with a real God.
