This month, I’m so excited about our July Bible Challenge! It’s a little different than usual. I’ve decided to heat things up in honor of summer. 🌞
For each day of the challenge, I’ve included a fun summer activity to do while you read your Bible. The purpose of these little add-ons is to make your summer feel more meaningful—and to help romanticize the ordinary moments we often overlook.
There is so much power and peace in simple things—like lighting a candle while reading or having a picnic with your Bible. So this month, I’m going all in on turning small moments into sweet ones.
Making life meaningful and fun doesn’t have to cost a lot. Enjoying nature, resting, and spreading love is free. That’s why most of the activities I included in this challenge won’t cost you a thing.
My hope is that you’ll find peace—and have fun—while spending time in the Word and embracing your surroundings.
If you’re on social media and join in this month, tag us #JCCMLSummerChallenge — we’d love to see you living your best life with the Word!
Love you!
Happy JULY! I hope it’s everything you want it to be! 💕

Importance of the Book of Acts:
Have you ever wondered what your life would look like if you fully walked in boldness, power, and purpose?
If that question stirred something in you… it’s time to dive into the Book of Acts. Acts isn’t just a history book. It’s the story of how ordinary people—just like us—were filled with the Holy Spirit and became bold, faith-filled world-changers. It’s the birth of the Church, the spark of the Gospel spreading, and a blueprint for how we’re called to live today.
This July, we’re reading through Acts—and here’s why it matters:
- You’ll be reminded that God still uses ordinary people for extraordinary impact.
- You’ll see how the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live with courage and clarity.
- You’ll gain fresh vision for what it means to live on mission—right where you are.
- You’ll see the beauty of community, generosity, and faith in action.
The story of Acts didn’t end in chapter 28—it continues in us.
Let’s read, reflect, and rise in purpose this month.
Reflection Questions or Journal Prompts:
What key words stood out to me in this chapter?
How does this chapter relate to my life’s circumstances currently?
How can I apply this chapter to my life?
How does this chapter inspire greater gratitude, humility, and/or joy in Christ?
How does this passage relate to the world today?
How can my attitude/actions improve based on truths I learned today?
How do the truths of this text shape the way I view God?
How do the truths of this text shape the way I view myself?
How do the truths of this text shape the way I view my present circumstances?
How can I apply this chapter to my prayers?
How could I explain this chapter to someone in 6 words or less?
What did I learn?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of a new month and for inviting us into this journey through the Book of Acts. As we read, open our hearts to truly hear Your voice. Help us not just to read words on a page—but to encounter You in a fresh, powerful way.
Lord, give us the desire and discipline to stay consistent this month. Remove distractions and help us to prioritize time with You. Let Your Word come alive and challenge us to live bolder, love deeper, and walk by faith.
Just like the early believers, fill us with the Holy Spirit. Use us in our homes, communities, and circles to be light and love. Help us to apply what we learn—not just for head knowledge, but for real transformation.
May this month awaken something new in us. Let Acts become personal. Let purpose rise. And may You get all the glory.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
