Wowwwwwwwwww! Can you believe it is already MAY?!
May is my favorite month of the year. I’m a little biased because May is also my birthday month. I will be turning 29 on May 20th. Last year, for May’s Bible Challenge, I chose to study the book of Proverbs. (my favorite book in the Bible) I was tempted to choose Proverbs again. However, it is my goal to cover the entire Bible before I do any repeats. So, I chose the book of Jeremiah because so many of my favorite scriptures come from this book. One of my all time favorite scriptures is: Jeremiah 29:11. Though I have many favorite scriptures from Jeremiah, I have never read the Book of Jeremiah in it’s entirety.
This challenge was initially intended for May. However, this plan will work for any day or month for the course of 31 days.
Below, you will find the reading plan that covers the entire Book of Jeremiah in 31 days.

The Importance of the Book of Jeremiah
Many people’s favorite Bible verses come from The book of Jeremiah. A commonly loved verse is: Jeremiah 29:11. Though, what many of us don’t realize is–Jeremiah was considered a huge failure. For the majority of Jeremiah’s life, he was poor, unsuccessful, unpopular, alone, and persecuted. Jeremiah’s prophecies were collected which is now what we know as the Book of Jeremiah. However, during his time alive, he gave his prophecies in figurative speech. Many people did not receive or like Jeremiah’s messages. The people who heard his messages often discounted his warnings and locked him up because of them. Jeremiah was known as “the weeping prophet” because of his many tribulations. Though Jeremiah was counted out by many during his time, he lived to see the destruction of his prophesies. The book of Jeremiah is a great book reminding that though people may count you out, God can use you.

Prayer for this Challenge
Dear Father,
I thank You for your guidance. Your word is filled with the essence of your craftsmanship and love. I pray this month, I sit at Your feet studying the word. May I know You more than I’ve ever known. May I represent You well. May my actions demonstrate that I live by Your word. I pray that Your word would be on my mind as a constant guide. May I be patient as I study You. I pray I’m transformed daily.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
