Hi, friends!
This month for July, our Bible Study will be covering the Book of Psalms! I am so, so, so excited because the Book of Psalms is very personal to me. When I was in highschool, I dealt with low self-esteem. I felt rejected, unpretty, and out of place from my society.
I didn’t really know where to start with the Bible at this time of my life. So, I would randomly just flip through my Bible and pray that God would lead me to scriptures that spoke to my heart and circumstances. I randomly opened my bible and stumbled to the Book of Psalms. These scriptures beautifully and poetically expressed my exact brokenness. I found refuge in the Book of Psalms.
I pray this study will heal you as it has for me over many years. Below, you will find a lesson plan laid out that covers all 150 chapters of the Book of Psalms. Over 31 days, you can use this guide to help you read the entire book of Psalms.
Though I love Psalms, I have never read the entire book from beginning to end. I am so excited! I started these challenges not knowing how deeply they would impact me. They truly have been changing my life by drawing me closer to Jesus and revealing who God really is.
Though this Bible Challenge was designed for July, you can start any day or month and follow for 31 days!

The Importance of The Book of Psalms:
No matter who we are, our race, our tittle, or our wealth, we all face various emotions. Emotions can vary. Such as, happiness, anger, excitement, fear, anxiety, heartbreak, grief, frustration, brokenness, and bliss. Throughout all our journeys, we can count on feeling emotions. Our emotions don’t always go as we like. Sometimes, when we don’t have the words to express our feelings, music often speaks for us. The book of Psalms is poetically written. Have you ever found yourself angry about something? The book of Psalms includes several prayers that express those same emotions you may be feeling. Are you afraid? David was also afraid when he wrote Psalm 2. Have you ever been heartbroken or rejected? The Book of Psalms was my book of comfort when I felt insecure, unloved, and out of place. When I didn’t know where to start with the Bible, Psalms was often the book I would randomly stumble to and found great comfort.
