Faith. Do you really have it? Can you pivot?

Every time I think about all the times I’ve rush

Every time I think about all the times I’ve rushed, it has never helped me. To be in a hurry and moving excessively fast has only made my experiences worse. More tense, more anxious, and more stressed. When I’ve taken a deep breath and just physically slowed down—my mind stopped racing and working against me.

My mom has been telling me “Hurry is of the devil” & “don’t rush” and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Because when I really reflect… Satan is most busy preying on us when we are rushing. To rush is to be operating from panic & fear. Panic & fear is the enemy’s favorite ground to prey. We become his most vulnerable prey in a state of rush.

To add science to it, it’s been proven that when we physically slow down it regulates our nervous system.

I’ve been reminding myself often to slow down. Don’t rush. It’s all going to work out anyways. 💗

Scripture of the Day 💕

This scripture has been ringing in my head over & over.

As an avid planner, I find comfort in planning. I like to feel ahead of what’s coming. Prepared.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. In fact, planning helps tremendously in many ways.

However, more than ever, I’m learning no matter what I plan for, how well I plan it, or even how poorly I plan it—God’s will is ultimately the way it will play out. Yes, plan. Allow yourself to feel prepared to alleviate extra stress/pressure. But, when you plan & you see those plans aren’t going plan by plan—pivot to God’s will. Faith in God is trusting that if your plans get interrupted, God’s hand is STILL in it. It’s apart of His plans even when they look different from what we thought we planned so beautifully and detailed. Why would we need faith if we already knew how it would all unfold? We are just pens & pencils. The utensils. God is the Author. We write but He determines the words, the beginning, and the end.

Will you keep writing? Will you remain the instrument? Even when the story shifts from the plot and the ending you had envisioned? Or will you pivot and just keep writing as the author unfolds what to write?

More than anything this week, God has shown me how

More than anything this week, God has shown me how He really can cause all things to work for our good.

I know. It hurts. It’s frustrating. It feels like you’ve been “here” in this same place & predicament for so long.

I know. It seems like things didn’t go in your favor.

I know. You’re tired of being tired.

What I’ve found to be true, God is merciful. God is love. There is nothing that was sent to destroy you that God can’t make good from it. Don’t undermine the meaning of God’s version of good either. It’s beyond what we could fathom. He’s truly a loving God that will make sense of your pain and give you reason for it all. How? Remove “you” and how it hurt you. Yes, it hurt. But don’t let that block you from receiving how it actually helped you. He is a redeemer.
