8 Helpful Scriptures to Help You Endure Each Day

Hi friends!

How are y’all holding up?

I know right now is such a different time for us all.

Each of our lives are being effected differently and one thing I know for certain—the world could use a little more love and light.

This blog post is for: believers, moms who find themselves overwhelmed or stressed, entrepreneurs trying to rise, or entrepreneurs who are trying to avoid a burn out, or maybe you’re someone who simply just needs a guide on where to start reading the Bible.

This post is for anyone journeying through life searching for bits of light. It’s a post for us all.

I have found that no matter if you’re a veteran believer with a solid foundation in God, or if you’re new to building your faith and walk with God, we all get stung, and we all get whirled in our emotions at some point.

But today, I want to give you all some scriptures that you can pin and go back to later when you find yourself feeling worried, discouraged, scared, timid, unsure, alone, anxious, or overwhelmed.

This is for you!

Feeling discouraged?

Joshua 1:9 NLT
“This is my command—be strong and courages! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go”

This scripture is our comfort where God speaks life over us. He told us what to say and declare over ourselves when we find ourselves feeling discouraged.

So this week, monitor if you find yourself feeling one or more of the following emotions :

Discouraged because things are maybe slower this week, you feel you aren’t where you want to be yet in life, you feel your hard work isn’t paying off, or you find yourself questioning your purpose and calling… Friend, Jesus told us in His word be strong and courages!

Jesus is not ever shocked or thrown off when He observes us in our emotions. He’s an all knowing Savior that knew we’d get in our feelings quite often.

Therefor, in His word, He declared “don’t be discouraged or dismayed.” This means even in times that are appearing not successful for you, or going as your plans, God knew you’d have moments like that. Speak over yourself– that God is with you wherever you go!

Feeling Scared?

Isaiah 41:10

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Scared about:

“Do you have what it takes?”

“Are you going to make it?”

“Is it all going to workout?”

“But how will your bills be paid?”

“What’s going to happen to me and my family?”

“What if I’m not good enough?”

“What if I’m dreaming too big?”

“What if I fail?”

Isaiah 41:10- This scripture is worded so perfectly.

Anytime you feel scared, speak over yourself the word.

It’s the strongest armor available for mankind. Speak the word over yourself. When you find yourself feeling scared, I encourage you to re-read this scripture; and this time put your name in the scripture to make it more personal. For example, I did this to make it more personal:

Padriana, Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Padriana,  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

This is also a great way if you’re beginning your journey with God and don’t know where to start your prayer life.

Feeling timid?

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace
    all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

What exactly does timid mean?

Timid means:

adjective, tim·id·er, tim·id·est.

lacking in self-assurance, courage, or bravery; easily alarmed; timorous; shy.characterized by or indicating fear:a timid approach to a problem.

Questions that may run through your head or heart if you’re feeling timid, sound like:

“Am I really the one to be able to do this?”

“Am I even qualified?”

Maybe I need more time,“

“I don’t offer anything that stands out.”

When you’re feeling timid, that usually just means you need to go recharge your confidence in Jesus and reprogram your thoughts into higher thoughts. Mediate on Isaiah 26:3 the next time you start lacking confidence in yourself.

Feeling worried?

Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

“But will it really all workout?”

“Will I break the generational curse from my bloodline?”

“How will I pay for college?”

“How will I make more money?”

“How will my business grow?”

“How do I ensure consistent success?”

Meditate on: Romans 8:28

This is one of my FAVORITE scriptures!

Wow. This one always hits personal when I find myself worried.

It always seems to check me and put me back into reality of what God can do and not what the world can do.

For some people who lack faith, seeing the end of the tunnel can be hard for them and certain miracles happening may seem out of reach. But as a believer, when you really mediate on the scripture— Romans 8:28, it’s personal and comforting to know that God truly does provide for those who genuinely love Him.

And God takes care of His children who truly desire to live out their purpose for the glory of God. He will not let you fail or abandon you when your faith is truly rooted in Him, he will always cause all things to work out for his kingdom builders!

Feeling unsure?

Mathew 6:26

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?

“How it really is going to work out?”

Don’t know which path to take?

Are you making the right decision?

I love Matthew 6:26 so much.

One time, I was unsure if I would have enough money or food to last me until pay day.I was unsure because I didn’t know what might arise that could leave me short on money.

Then I came across the verse Matthew 6:26 and I felt so much peace.

To know that even the birds are precious to God, that He provides them with sunlight, food, water without them even having a home or place to store their necessities like we do. And yet, God provides. What makes us think God won’t provide for us the same way? His love and grace runs so deep.

Feeling overwhelmed?

Psalm 61: 1-2

O God, listen to my cry!
    Hear my prayer!
From the ends of the earth,
I cry to you for help
    when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety,

No matter what profession or season we are in life, we all find ourselves overwhelmed at times.

It’s important to remember to take a step back and breathe when you find yourself feeling overwhelmed in life.

I love psalm 61: 1-2, because it’s literally the exact words I’ve felt so many times before.

Where I have found myself crying out to God to hear my prayers, even with a faint heart and overwhelmed with tasks and dreams–it’s soothing to just mediate on “lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Because, often our own human strength is not enough to tackle it all. So, asking God to “lead you to the rock, that is higher than you, and how you feel,” will give you the strength to endure when feeling overwhelmed.

Feeling anxious?

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Even though we can’t help but feel anxious, when we are looking forward to something or really really want something to happen a certain way, we tend to start feeling anxious.

But please take note that to be anxious also stems from the word anxiety.

Too much anxiety can make you tiresome causing you to lose joy. Be anxious for nothing but pray about everything.

Peace over anxiousness/anxiety is a win!

Lastly, feeling alone?

Psalm 18 :1-2

I love you, Lord;
    you are my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
    and my place of safety.

Whether you’re married, single, in a relationship, lost a good friend, away from family, in a new place, starting a new job, or battling with something no one knows about–we all feel alone at times.

You are never alone friend, God is your Savior, protection, shield, and your rock. He loves you so much and hears you, sees you, and is walking with you.

Jesus Christ Changed My Life because for everything I may feel, His word is the prescription.
